We travelled around the Larapinta Loop in the West MacDonald Ranges. The images on the drive around were amazing we also visited Simpson’s Gap, Tyler Lookout, and the Ochre Pits while driving The Loop and stayed at two campsites which were breathtakingly beautiful: Ellery Gorge and Ormiston Gorge. There is so much to see it is simply impossible to capture and absorb it all so we will revisit on the next trip round Aussie. I have dedicated an individual photo album to the West MacDonald Ranges as I took so many photos. I loved this place it has a special light … a strange iridescent yellow and in the evening everything has a blue purple haze. If you are every fortunate enough to have a trip to Alice Springs, do not miss the drive to the West Mac Ranges. It is a must…
