The Savanna Way stretches from the Atherton Tablelands west of Cairns (Qld) westwards to Normanton (and beyond). This trip we only travelled to Normanton and then because of the heat headed south to Cloncurry. The highlights we found across this area included a free river camp on Routh Creek, a wonderful wildlife spot @ Leichhardt Lagoon and the historical Town of Normanton itself.
